Natinci stared at the still form of her brother, wishing he had not stepped between her and the strange creature a few days ago. He was all she had left from her former life, and while she didn't miss most of her prior clan existance, Kainet was family. He had always been there to protect her. Blinking away part of her grief, she turned her gaze to the squirming creature in her claws. After the attack, and the creature's release of her brother, they had gone in search of information. Their research was not encouraging. These "xenodragons" used other creatures as hosts, and while no creature as large as a Myrsilk was known to have been successfully facehugged, yet, there was no telling exactly what the results would be. Some suspected that the sheer size of a Myrsilk would make it impossible for the burster to gestate properly, while others feared that the burster would simply grow to match its host. The siblings left, Kalinet not worried, but Natinci was filled with foreboding.
