After Ziwevc and Driyonde dropped her off at Star City, she began exploring. The space station was unlike anything she had ever seen and it fascinated her. She stayed out of the way, making sure she never became a bother to anyone who may decide she shouldn't be there.
While there, she made many friends and had even more people and dragons that she knew by sight and by name, even if they didn't actually know her. The little fire could usually find out who had a couple of eggs, though she never tried to bond any. She didn't know if she wanted a bond of her own yet.
After quite a while, taking occasional breaks to check out Abstract Destiny and the complex down on Driolo, she decided she wanted to try sponsering. While she would still be taking care of a young dragon, a sponsered kit would be less invasive (to her mind at least); her life would definitely be affected.
Heading to one of the now rarely used bays (most clutches were small and private, held in private locations), she decided to investigate a recent clutch she had heard about. A bit larger than the usual Star City clutch, the parents had opted to allow a wider group of people than was the norm the opportunity to sponser their kits. Another difference for this group was that all the babies were live born; Vazeo was glad she had not been the mother of that many live-born kits.
After visiting, and being "interviewed" by the kits, and their father, she had felt sparks of friendship towards several of the younglings. One, a light purple female called Bez-lia, asked her to describe where she came from, and within minutes had a rough sketch of a map of Vazeo's home, very close to accurate. Another female, Supra-vie, was determined to conjure a fire that the elemental couldn't control, though fortunately she wasn't strong enough to call anything too big, or there could have been problems! And the bronze male, Halubaphie, seemed fascinated that fire didn't damage her. He could heal almost any damage done to himself, given time, but to be unaffected by the fire was amazing.
Vazeo had a wonderful time, meeting all the younglings, and dearly hoped she would be chosen to care for one. But she wouldn't be able to influence their decisions in any way, other than simply being one of the applicants, so she didn't worry about it. She would find out soon enough if she would be chosen as a sponser, and she could wait. Every once in a while, she could find the patient bone in her body; it was just a matter of how long she could hold onto it!

A few short days later (well, maybe not, but that's what it felt like!), she had been chosen as one of the lucky ones who would get to care for the kits. Bez-lia, the little purple female who had drawn her a map, would be coming with her, and she couldn't wait to start their first adventure. She decided that they would spend awhile down on Driolo, maybe going to the school there to learn more about Bez-lia's magics, and maybe see what she could learn as well.
